Albany business executive and democratic candidate for Mayor Dan Cerutti has released the first in a series of video messages he is sharing with Albany residents.
The first-time candidate for public office grew up in the Pine Hills neighborhood, and returned to Albany eight years ago, following a career crafting solutions to complex problems across a variety of industries. For the past twenty months, he has been asking questions and listening city residents about their concerns.
During the pandemic, Dan walked nearly every day, for exercise and to reconnect with Albany. He talked one-on-one with many of those he encountered and evolved his understanding of the state of the city. It was during discussions with his neighbors and long-term friends that he was encouraged to consider running for Mayor, to give back by standing up for Albany.
“Albany is my hometown, I believe in our city, and after nearly a thousand conversations I have had with young families on playgrounds, business owners seeking opportunities to grow, and senior citizens that simply want to enjoy their neighborhoods; it is clear that we all want the same thing - to make Albany better, for everyone.”
The :90 second video – Why Dan? Is available on the campaign’s website: www.DanForAlbany.com. A closed caption option is also available.
The Presidential election in 40 days, the democratic primary to lead New York’s capital city will be in June 2025.
“I am committed to supporting Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. We cannot go back in November; and I am encouraged and energized to bring change to Albany in 2025,” Cerutti said.
The campaign also launched a dedicated Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/danforalbany.
“I am humbled that so many have expressed that they want to be part of our campaign. The democratic primary is nine months, and I am going to work hard every day to bring optimism, opportunity and change to our city. That is what our campaign is about, and we are well underway,” Cerutti concluded.
